Accounts of the Autonomous University of Nayarit are released; the pending fortnightly payments are paid

Tepic, Nay., The bank accounts of the Autonomous University of Nayarit (UAN) were released, after the support of the general management of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and the management of Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, so the biweekly payments to the administrative and teaching staff have already been made, the educational institution reported.
He explained that communication was also established with the state delegation of the IMSS to search a joint route that allows for a definitive solution
to the debts that it has had with the institute since previous administrations.
The UAN stated that the dispersion of resources to the individual accounts of the workers had already been carried out and thanked the understanding of the university community, the institutional sectors and the Nayarit society
.
Last Friday, the IMSS announced that the UAN owes more than 1,738 million pesos in worker-employer contributions, retirement, severance pay for advanced age and old age for periods dating back to 2014.
He explained that he has offered an extraordinary package of facilities to regularize the situation, such as the granting of a 90 percent waiver of fines, the signing of an installment payment agreement without the corresponding presentation of the fiscal interest guarantee, among others.
He recalled that in July 2022 the university agreed to pay the amount in installments; However, from October 2022, it began to make payments outside the calendar, until, in September 2023, it defaulted on the installments
and has filed lawsuits such as delaying measures
.
The university said that the current administration is up to date with the payment of employer-employee contributions and that the problem arose during previous governments.
