CNTD says President Luis Abinader's speech is full of truths and hopes

Santo Domingo;- In the opinion of the transporter Williams Pérez Figuereo, the speech given by President Luis Abinader, at the swearing-in of his second term, is full of truths and hopes when mentioning the importance of state school transportation, its works
such as the Santiago and Alcarrizos Cable Cars, the Santo Domingo tram, the Santiago Monorail and the Metropolitan Train, works that confirm that the president is transforming mass passenger transportation in the country.

In a press release sent to this media, Pérez Figuereo, president of the National Central of Unified Transporters CNTU, congratulates the Abinader government for betting on the implementation of the state school transportation system at the national level, hoping that this new mandate will consider incorporating new models of buses and safaris, depending on where the service is operated.

The driver leader emphasizes that the government has made a great effort in the past four years to guarantee the mobility of our students, with the implementation of the School Transportation System, TRAE, which already safely transports half of Dominican schoolchildren between their homes and schools, and it is expected that by the end of this year 2024 this system will reach our entire school population.

For the transportation businessman, one of the truths of Abinader’s speech is the statement made by the head of state when he said that the nation has modernized and advanced in the last 4 years and that the reform plan, which he will submit, “will guarantee the mobilization of resources to be able to materialize such important projects as the Santo Domingo Cable Car and Tram, the Santiago Monorail or the Metropolitan Train that will connect the center of the capital with the Airport.”
capital with the Las Americas International Airport.”

In his speech before the National Assembly, to swear me in as Constitutional President of the Dominican Republic for a new term of government, Abinader emphasized that “the true triumph of a government is not achieved when power is obtained, but when this power is used to serve the people and to solve the real problems of the people.”

The President’s message is positive for the transport sector, but it is now up to officials to implement the policies announced by the President.

In another part of the CNTU statement, the representative of the entity reports that in the aspect of vehicle renewal, innovation in transportation, the elimination of traffic jams and the causes that originate deaths due to traffic accidents, as a union they will continue to support, with contributions of solutions, the authorities in these new four years.
