Nicolás Maduro asked for the rapid approval of the law against fascism and against hate crimes and assured that the Venezuelan people are “happy” celebrating and dancing in the streets
President Nicolás Maduro began his speech this Saturday, August 17, from Miraflores with insults against presidential candidate Edmundo González and disqualifying opposition leader María Corina Machado. “Where is the filthy one, where is the defeated pataruco?” he said to ask about the whereabouts of the candidate of the Unitary Platform.
He called María Corina Machado “Sayona” again, as he has done so many times before, and said: “She has lost her spirit, they don’t even want her in the opposition.” He also said that “the fascist right has lost its spirit” and that the highest representative of Vente Venezuela has a “criminal and violent” mind.
“We are facing an evil and fascist people. Fascism is hatred turned into violence,” said President Nicolás Maduro.
He also said that if the government had not defeated the opposition on July 28 and 29, they would have “gone to kill more than one of you,” and so he asked for the rapid approval of the law against fascism and hate crimes.
Maduro said that Edmundo González is hiding “in a cave,” supposedly preparing “his escape from Venezuela; he takes the money and goes to Miami. Where are you hiding, coward?” he insisted.
Maduro said that it is necessary to move forward in consolidating peace in the country, working for the economy and social rights. He indicated that one of the priorities is to recover pensions, social life and the “wounds left by the sanctions.”
He leader called for a process of building the 7T plan and a national congress on October 18, 19 and 20 to define the plan and create an action plan to develop Venezuela between now and 2031.
