Supermarkets with the most affordable basic basket
According to the weekly report, Who’s Who of Basic Necessities, the supermarkets that have the lowest prices on the basic basket are Aurrera Winery Chiapas with 728 pesosfollowed by the same chain in Tlaxcalawith 730 pesos.
In the central region In the country, the supermarkets with the lowest prices are those of the Bodega Aurrera chain located in the cities of Cuernavaca, Querétaro, Puebla and the Central de Abasto Iztapalapa (CDMX), with an average price ranging from 749.40 to 895 pesos.
In the region center-north, The cheapest prices were found at Fresko La Comer Villantigua (San Luis Potosí), followed by Walmart Colinas del Padre (Zacatecas); Chedraui Prados de Villasunción (Aguascalientes); Chedraui Villas del Oriente (Jalisco); and Walmart Oculusen, Morelia (Michoacán). Prices range from 805 to 855 pesos.
In the northern region The Soriana Hiper chain stores are located in the cities of Chihuahua, Colonia Arcim, Tampico, Proyecto Río (Sonora) and Mitras Norte (Monterrey). The lowest price recorded was 785.10 and the highest 885 pesos.
In the southern region Bodega Aurrera, El Cerrito branch (Tuxtla Gutiérrez), is in the top position; Casa Blanca (Tabasco) and Mega Soriana Farallón (Acapulco) from the same chain, and Chedraui Selecto Reforma (Oaxaca). The lowest price was 728.50 pesos and the highest was 800.80 pesos.
