An armed robbery that occurred on the highway that connects the town of Parijaro with Satipo ended with an 8-year-old child dead and a transporter injured. The incident took place at around 4 pm last Tuesday, when the Toyota D1Y-877 truck, with passengers on board and a load of cocoa, was traveling near the Pachacútec sector.

Suddenly, two men wearing a sweatshirt, hood, and glasses, riding an old motorcycle, intercepted the vehicle, and when its driver, Walter Ninavilca Limachi, refused to stop, they fired two shots, one of which hit the head of the minor Lenin, 8 years old, who was in the passenger seat next to the passenger Nemesio López.
The other shell hit the pilot’s right hand, wounding him but not disabling him from continuing his flight.
According to some witnesses, the criminals were unable to steal anything from the vehicle, due to their early departure. The unit managed to leave the scene until it reached the Libertad de Anapati police station, where the child was already without vital signs.

According to Jessica Bayoqui Díaz, the victim’s mother and also a passenger, her child survived for about twenty minutes after being hit by the projectile, but then his heart stopped beating when they arrived at the first health center.
The next morning, by order of the prosecutor, police officers carried out the legal removal of the body, which was taken to the Satipo morgue for the legal autopsy.
In tears, the mother, who was approached by the press at the door of the Satipo forensic office, asked for justice and for the perpetrators of the crime to be caught promptly.
