Santo Domingo.-The new ordinary legislature opened this Thursday with the swearing-in of the two legislative chambers.
Both in the Senate how the swearing-in took place in the Chamber of Deputies.
The event in the lower house was headed by President Alfredo Pacheco, while the one in the Senate was presided over by Ricardo de los Santos. Both belong to the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).

The legislators then moved to the National Theater for the swearing-in of President Luis Abinader and Vice President Raquel Peña.
