They claimed to be technical support

«PI send them their data and what they ask for on WhatsApp! Today I had these people busy for a while and I sent them fake codes. They were indeed trying to access my account and WhatsApp verification codes were arriving. It is important not to give them anything,” the user wrote on his X account.

The criminals sent a link with the WhatsApp header, claiming to be technical support for the app and requesting a code to confirm that your account had not been compromisedHowever, the user, aware of the deception, decided to send them fake codes.

Despite the poor spelling and mix of upper and lower case letters in their messages, the scammers persisted in their attempt, by repeatedly asking him to enter the six-digit verification code that had supposedly been sent to him. Tato continued to send incorrect codes, causing frustration for the criminals.

At one point in the conversation, Scammers threatened to suspend your account, To which Tato sarcastically replied: “What the fuck! I’ve already done everything.”

The criminals insisted that he confirm the security PIN, but the user continued to send them incorrect codes, keeping them busy for a long time.
