Panama Autodrome is ready for the battle of records in Acceleration

With the participation of 120 drivers, 11 of them the fastest in Central America, the third and final date of the National Acceleration Championship will be held, which has been described as a battle of records that Panama and the region have never seen, on the Autódromo Panamá track.

During the conference, all the details of this great two-day battle were revealed, on Saturday 17th for the practice and qualifying day and on Sunday for the race that ends this drag season at this Multi-Experience Events Center, located in Capira, lower Campana.
On this last date, quarter-mile or drag racers will participate in the categories of 15 seconds or more, 14s, 13s, 12s, 11s, 10s and 9 seconds or less, on a new track 402 meters long and 500 meters of braking, designed with the highest safety standards.
Josue Rodríguez, Gilberto Vargas, Oscar Martínez, Edgar Zamora, Keren González, are some of the drivers who will seek victories in a day full of adrenaline, music and a safe environment.
In the overall standings after two races, Ariel González Jr. in his Chevrolet Camaro dominates in the 9-second category with 30 points, followed by Edgar Zamora in a Nissan GTR R35 and Juan Carlos Jované in a Toyota Supra, both with 13 points.
In the 10-second category, the leaders are Christopher Lyma-Young in a Ford Mustang GT, with 30 points, and Armando Acevedo and Luis Ugalde, both with 13 points. In the 11-second category, the best are Edgar Atencio in a Nissan Sentra, with 18 points, followed by Juan Carlos Jované in a Toyota Supra and Avilio Castillo in a Honda Civic, both with 15 points.
The 12-second category is led by Diego Botello in a Honda Civic, with 20 points, and Juan Castillo in a Honda Civic and Jacobo Malca in a Ford Mustang, both with 18 points. In the 13-second category, the race is also close, with Josimar Jean Francois in an Acura, with 26 points; followed by José Jaén in a Nissan Sentra, with 20 points and Luis León in a Nissan 370Z, with 18.

In 14 seconds, Franklin Osorio in a Honda Civic, with 20 points is the leader, followed by Eduardo Tejada, with 15 points and in the 15 second category, José Alberte in a VW Jetta and Ricardo Calderón in a Honda S2000, tied with 15 points.
The classification also indicates that the leader in the 1000cc motorcycles is Victor Dominguez on a Suzuki and Eduardo Reyes on a BMW, with 15 points. In the 600cc motorcycles the leader is Carlos Sanchez on a Suzuki with 30 points.
Autódromo Panamá reiterates its call to drivers that if they want to race, they should do so safely, on a track designed with the highest quality standards and that is environmentally friendly.
