In an act of solidarity and rapid action, citizens of La Plata, Huila, alerted the National Police about a critical situation involving a dog in danger. According to reports, a man had thrown a dog in a sack into the tributary that passes under the Primero de Mayo bridge, located in the Ramírez Otalora neighborhood of the Huila municipality.

Immediately, the police officers from the police station contacted the fire department to coordinate the rescue of the animal. Upon arriving at the scene, the fire department found the dog with its snout tied up and trapped inside a bag that had been thrown to the bottom of the bridge. With great skill, the rescuers took the dog out and proceeded to untie its snout and then took it to a veterinary center for evaluation.
The puppy, now safe, was handed over to a citizen who volunteered to take care of him and give him the love and attention he so desperately needed. This act of generosity has been widely appreciated by the local community and by those involved in the rescue.

For their part, the authorities have launched an investigation to find the person responsible for this act of animal cruelty. The authorities are collecting evidence from security cameras and witness testimonies to identify the culprit. Lieutenant Colonel Carlos Harvey Sierra has called on citizens to contact the authorities if they know the identity of the person who mistreated the dog. He also invited the suspect to voluntarily present himself at the police station to face the consequences of his actions.
