The agreement on parity and unity
On August 12, the National Executive Committee of the PAN approved a criterion to guarantee gender parity in the integration of the State Executive Committees that will be renewed for the period 2024-2027.
The document indicates that in the states of Baja California, Mexico City, Campeche, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa and Tabasco, only women can run for president.

This agreement favors the aspirations of Luisa Gutiérrez Ureña, who has expressed her interest in leading the PAN in Mexico City, with ample possibilities of succeeding Andres Ataydewho will join the third legislature of the capital’s Congress in September and could lead his party.
In addition to the above, on August 12 and 14, female activists, political leaders and the parliamentary faction of the PAN in the Congress of Mexico City expressed their support for Gutiérrez Ureña to lead this party.
Although the call for the internal process of renewing the PAN leadership in Mexico City has not yet been published, it is estimated that said process will begin in November or December of this year, once the national leadership has been resolved.
