The Federal Police (PF) launched Operation 18 Minutes this Wednesday morning (14), with the aim of investigating a criminal organization suspected of corruption and money laundering crimes in the Court of Justice of Maranhão.
In a statement, the corporation reported that it is complying with 55 search and seizure warrants, issued by the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), 53 in Maranhão, one in Pará and one in Rio de Janeiro.
Other precautionary measures are also being implemented, including removal from public office, seizure and unavailability of assets, electronic monitoring and prohibition of access and attendance at the Court of Justice of Maranhão.
“The criminal organization is suspected of manipulating processes at the Court of Justice of Maranhão with the intention of obtaining financial advantage. The crimes of criminal organization, active corruption, passive corruption and money laundering are being investigated,” highlighted the PF.
