During the current government, the tax authority has strengthened the collection and auditing of money by digitizing and automating processes, in addition to the application of artificial intelligence to its processes starting this year.
“The tax authorities have more technology, and companies must have more technology to be able to improve their profitability and comply with all regulatory aspects,” said the interviewee.
However, the road to achieving the application of artificial intelligence in business processes in Mexico is long.
According to Siigo, almost 40% of companies in Mexico have not adopted technology for their business; they do not use cloud systems, they do not use the Internet for their business, they do not use e-commerce.
He explained that one of the first steps to using artificial intelligence in tax matters is that companies must have their business data in the cloud.
“Artificial intelligence is a spectacularly amazing world, and if business owners learn to use it, they will begin to understand how it can make them more productive, serve their customers better, and spend less time on operational tasks,” Ortiz said.
He explained that the process of adopting technology naturally begins with the use of email, web pages, business data in the cloud, and from there the use of artificial intelligence tools.
