After the Social Cabinet meeting, held on Tuesday, Juan Carlos Huarachi, executive secretary of the Bolivian Workers’ Central, representing the social sectors, was in charge of announcing the conclusions. He indicated that the measures that the Government is taking are measures that will alleviate the situations that both entrepreneurs and producers experience.
“One of the suggestions we have put forward is the control of export currencies (…) so that this enters the Central Bank, enters the Bolivian State and, through this, the circulation of the dollar in our Plurinational State of Bolivia can be guaranteed,” said Huarachi.
They also ask for the support for the national industry “to be able to guarantee and even avoid the dismissal of workers at a national level.”
On the other hand, they ask incentives for saving in dollarsso that the ITF is not an obstacle.

Harachi said that the social sectors support the management of Luis Arce and David Choquehuanca. And that They called for the unity of social organizations, to avoid internal division, which harms them.

Regarding the referendum proposed by Arce in his speech on August 6, Huarachi indicated that they asked to “go down to the expanded and general assemblies”, where they hope to find New proposals related to economic issues of national interest, mainly the lack of dollars and the subsidy of hydrocarbons.
In addition, Huarachi lcalled on other sectors to join in the search for solutions to the economic crisis, among them he mentioned businessmen, merchants and transporters.
