How can I access Jalisco Health Insurance?
To receive medical care, you only need to join the program, a process that does not require any fees. Upon registration, you will be given a membership card for Seguro Salud Jalisco.
All rights supported by Jalisco Health Insurance are valid as long as the citizen does not have any entitlement (IMSS, ISSSTE, Sedena, Semar, Pemex)
What are the requirements to obtain the credential?
1. Be a resident of Jalisco
2. Not be a beneficiary of any Social Security institution (IMSS, ISSSTE, Pemex, Sedena, Semar, other)
3. Provide CURP
4. Photo ID for adults
5. Proof of address no older than three months
How to obtain the Jalisco Insurance credential?
The process can be done in two ways or in three forms.
Digital way
-Through the website: https://segurosalud.jalisco.gob.mx
-The interested person enters the site and easily requests affiliation to Jalisco Health Insurance.
-Follow the steps to upload the documents.
In person
-The person can go to any of the health centers or hospitals of the OPD Jalisco Health Services.
-Go to the Western General Hospital.
-Or they can also go to the modules installed at health fairs.
Why did Jalisco implement its own strategy?
Jalisco is one of the few states that has not joined the federal IMSS-Bienestar program, which centralizes medical care. Governor Alfaro said that he has started conversations with his successor Pablo Lemus –both from Movimiento Ciudadano– so that he is familiar with this model.
This great commitment does not end with the end of a six-year term, but we are convinced that having the best system in the entire country requires a sustained effort over the next few years.
“Pablo is committed to continuing this great effort to ensure that the people of Jalisco have a well-functioning insurance for the general population. We are going to make very important progress and I am sure that Pablo and his team will be able to strengthen this insurance, they will be able to give it greater reach and greater depth,” he said.
