Eduardo Arango III wins the Pacific Classic Open

For the second time, in less than a month in 2024, golfer Eduardo Arango III has achieved another important triumph in his career, by winning, this Sunday, the Pacific Classic Open, played over three rounds at the Mantarraya Golf Club.

Arango III, who had just won the Apagolf National Elite Ranking and the National Team Cup in Vista Mar, scored 217 strokes in the three rounds of the tournament, 3 less than the scorecard of his closest rival, Raúl Carbonell, with 220 and Jean Luis Ducruet (221).

The Pacific Classic Open champion continues to add points to the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and is preparing for the new season at his university in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“I am very optimistic about this new victory. It motivates me and shows that we are doing things well in training. I hope to take these good feelings with me and perform well in the fall season at the university,” said Arango III after his second victory this year.

This tournament was played over three rounds, in which Arango III finished with 72-71-74; while Carbonell played for a 75-74-71. It should be noted that Jean Paul Ducruet was the defending champion and finished with 226 strokes.

The 18-hole, par 72, 7,087-yard course was designed by Randall Thompson.
