Through a post in XRomero recalled that months ago he spoke out indicating “its shortcomings and the risks that its adoption generates” and stated that this announcement is “more worrying because of the stigmatizing discourse”, according to which the actions of non-governmental organizations and other organizations are associated “with serving as a ‘front for terrorism’, as well as expressions of social hatred and fascist ideas.”

The UN Special Rapporteur also stressed that the resumption of the draft law is taking place in “a context of post-electoral repression against activists, journalists, lawyers, NGOs… which has created a climate of widespread fear.”
