The Institute for the Training and Utilization of Human Resources (IFARHU) will meet the payment commitment for more than 43 thousand students of: primary, middle and high school, as well as for master’s students who have not received their scholarship and financial assistance benefits since 2023.
Starting on Monday, August 19, 2024 and with a disbursement of B/.20 million, IFARHU will deliver the pending payments of the following programs:
- General Competition
- Distinguished Position
- Educational Financial Aid
- Financial Aid for Students with Disabilities
- Economic Assistance for the Eradication of Child Labor
- Financial Assistance for Sports
- Financial Assistance for Academic and Cultural Events
It is important to note that the payment period for these programs began because the checks were issued by the previous administration, many of them due to expire during this August, and had not been delivered to the beneficiaries.
In the case of the Economic Assistance and New Scholarship programs processed in 2024, payments will be scheduled for delivery at a later date. For PASE-U payments, coordination with the Ministry of Education (MEDUCA) continues to be adjusted.
The Emberá region, in a mutual agreement between the regional government and the communities, will coordinate the delivery at a later date.
The payment period begins on Monday, August 19 and ends on Friday, August 30. Payments for these programs will be made according to the schedule detailed in the payment schedules of each province, region and district, which will be published on the certified digital sites managed by the institution.
For those beneficiaries who are unable to withdraw on the date indicated in the schedules, they will be scheduled for a future payment date.
Payments for Master’s Degrees, Period I and Period II for the year 2024, and for any pending payments for 2023, will also be made by check delivery and are scheduled from Monday, September 2 to Friday, September 13, 2024.
During this first month of work, the current administration carried out an exhaustive review of the Regulations and the Manual of Procedures for Scholarships, Financial Aid and Economic Assistance with the aim of putting an end to the discretionary nature of the granting of programs and the lack of transparency in accountability.
