Members of 13 civil organizations, headed by the National Civic Front group, known as pink tidedemonstrated in front of the headquarters of the National Electoral Institute (INE), to demand that the 11 electoral counselors comply with their constitutional power and enforce the vote cast at the polls

He said that the Constitution establishes limits on the translation of votes into seats, so there cannot be a difference greater than 8 percent, and that no political force can have more than 300 deputies.
The ruling party obtained 54 percent of the votes and the constitutional limit for overrepresentation is 8 percent. However, the federal government wants to be assigned 74 percent of the chamber and, therefore, reduce the opposition’s share to 26 percent, when it obtained 42 percent of the votes.
