DR is being considered among the countries for Maduro’s exile, according to Jaime Bayly

RD está siendo considerada entre los países para el exilio de Maduro, según Jaime Bayly

Bayly says it is a “golden exile”

The Dominican Republic is on the list of countries that the United States has offered Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to go into exile in, as part of an ultimatum from that power for the president to recognize his defeat in the last elections and leave power before November 5 of this year, according to Peruvian journalist Jaime Bayly.

“I bring good news from London: highly reliable sources have confirmed to me today that the (Joe) Biden government has given an ultimatum to the Maduro dictatorship, through the head of US diplomacy, Antony Blinken,” the journalist revealed on his channel. YouTube.

According to Bayly, “Biden has sent Maduro a very simple message: you have to leave power before November 5 and you only have two options: either you go into exile or you go to jail. If you don’t leave power before November 5, we will arrest you and put you in a cell here in the United States.”

The journalist also said that his source confided to him that if Maduro accepts defeat and leaves the Venezuelan government, he will be able to leave with his family “to enjoy his ill-gotten fortune” in the ‘golden exile’.

“Where would that golden exile be? The Biden administration, through Blinken, offers several ways out. The closest, or most convenient, would be Panama, which has already agreed to do so. The Dominican Republic, which has privately expressed its willingness, and of course Cuba.” he assured.

It is recalled that since the National Electoral Commission of Venezuela declared Maduro the winner in the last elections, dozens of countries have expressed their disagreement with the results presented, and have asked the Venezuelan government to publish the minutes of said electoral contest.

Meanwhile, the opposition in that country, whose main figures are María Corina Machado and Edmundo González, who claim to have won the elections with more than 60%, are holding intense demonstrations in Caracas and other important cities of Venezuela, to demand the resignation of the man who many call a dictator.

The most recent statement from the Dominican Republic on the subject was made by Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez, who called on the OAS to ask the Venezuelan authorities to publish the original voting records in the next few hours, so that they can be verified by independent actors.

“For the Dominican Republic, this is a fundamental requirement for the election to be considered transparent and credible,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
