The head of the First Preparatory Investigation Court of Puno ordered 9 months of preventive detention against Hermelinda Apaza Zapana (50), who is being investigated for committing the alleged crime of attempted parricide.

During the hearing, it was learned that the events occurred on August 7 in a house on Huerta Huaraya Avenue, in the town of Alto Puno, in the province of Puno, where the minor with the initials NAHZ (08), He was the victim of attacks that left him with legal medical disability for 15 days.

The boy narrated that on that occasion, His mother sent him to fetch water; however, the youngest took advantage of the opportunity to play for a moment, which angered the accused, who allegedly tried to strangle him using a cable, then poured alcohol on his chest and set him on fire.

He also explained that the child has absences from his/her educational center during the months of July and August; The minor also indicated that this would not be the first time he had suffered these attacks. For these reasons, the judge ordered Hermelinda Apaza to be interned in the Lampa prison.
