Citi has been rated as the Best International Bank operating in the Dominican Republic, in addition to being recognized as the Best Digital Bank in the World, by the specialized publication Euromoney, world leader in financial market analysis.
Citi’s general manager in the country, Maximo Vidalsaid that this recognition is a testament to the entity’s commitment to innovation as a global leader in banking, and to the great work that the bank has done in recent years in high-potential markets such as the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean region.
Vidal added, “This award reflects our ability to adapt to global technological trends, as well as our dedication to staying at the forefront of digital customer service.”
On this occasion, Citi has won a record 41 awards in different categories of the global, regional and local market, for its excellent performance in the calendar year 2023, standing out in the area of investment in numerous emerging markets; among them Central America and the Caribbean, Africa and Eastern Europe.
These awards were given in the annual edition of the Excellence Awards of the specialized magazine, through which the best of global banking is recognized, in areas of vital importance for market players.
