The Minister for Transport, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, denounced that the website of the airline Conviasa, as well as the payment systems of the metro and metrobus companies in several cities in the country were victims of cyber attacks by the “hacktivist” group Anonymous.

This was reported this Sunday by the head of the mobility portfolio in his Instagram accountwhere he stated that they managed to neutralize electronic sabotage thanks to technical equipment, in the case of Conviasa.

“Similarly, against the Fare Collection System in the Caracas, Valencia, Los Teques, Maracaibo, IFE and Metrobús Metros, which generated a collapse in the service, however, we have acted to protect all the information, as a guarantee for our users and to reestablish the recharge of cards,” he said.

In this regard, Velásquez Araguayán stated that “Faced with the declaration of a cyberwar against Venezuela by the lackeys of imperialism, we stand up and confront any attack against our country! They will not succeed!”
