How much was the advance payment approved by the CNE for consultations?

The European Union deploys Electoral Observation Mission in Colombia

The National Electoral Council (CNE) approved the amount of advances for candidates participating in the interparty consultations and congressional elections of the Republic, which will take place on March 13.

According to the document published by the CNE, each match received approximately $1.614 million for inquiries.

The foregoing, according to statutory Law 1475 of 2011, “parties, movements and significant groups of citizens who register candidates, may request in a justified manner from the National Electoral Council up to eighty percent (80%) in advance of the State financing of the consultations or of the electoral campaigns in which they participate.”
