Santiago de los Caballeros, DR.- Agents of the National Police, attached to the High Technology Crimes and Offenses Investigation Section of the Northern Region, arrested a man involved in the alleged commission of electronic fraud for the sum RD$102,100 pesos.
It is about Jonathan Steven Gil De la Cruz, who was arrested pursuant to a court order.
According to the preliminary report, the detainee allegedly received the sum of RD$102,100 pesos in his bank account, as a result of a scam perpetrated through Facebook and WhatsApp.
The victim, whose name is being withheld, reported that was deceived with the promise of receiving some tanks and boxes, so he made the corresponding payment; however, he never received the products.
The detainee was placed at the disposal of justice, via the Public Prosecutor’s Office, to answer for the facts of which he is accused.
