The Supreme Court of Justice announced that it is continuing with the examination of the electoral data of the presidential elections. The TSJ magistrate, Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez, indicated that Edmundo González Urrutia incurred in contempt by not attending the hearing and by not complying with the submission of the minutes of the scrutiny, the list of witnesses, or any electoral material.
The Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) continues with the investigation that began on August 5 of the data and evidence provided by the National Electoral Council (CNE), related to the presidential elections of July 28.

Rodríguez stated that the CNE as the governing body “appeared in plenary session with all its main rectors” fully complying by recording all the requirements set forth by the electoral process. “The magistrates of the Electoral Chamber are engaged in the expert appraisal of all electoral material of probative value presented in physical and digital form, as well as the expert appraisal of the massive cyber attack that the Venezuelan electoral system was subjected to,” said Rodríguez.
The announcement of the Supreme Court was made on the afternoon of Saturday, August 10, with the attendance of representatives of the diplomatic corps in the country, officials of the administration of Nicolás Maduro, militants of political parties and the media. The president of the TSJ pHe also presented a summary of the appearances of the presidential candidates who participated in the elections on July 28.
He pointed out that 38 representatives of different political parties and nine candidates appeared before the Electoral Chamber, as well as 33 of the requested organizations presented the requested material. He noted that the candidate of the Unitary Platform, Edmundo González Urrutia, He did not attend the hearing and therefore incurred contempt of court.
Rodríguez also pointed out that the opposition parties that make up the Unitary Platform and that supported González Urrutia did not provide any material on the electoral records. Likewise, the political organizations Alianza del Lápiz and Movimiento Centrados para la Gente, nor their candidates, did not submit the requested electoral material.

The magistrate added that the representatives of UNT and MPV stated that they do not have the minutes of the counting of witnesses from the tables, nor lists of witnesses, claiming furthermore that they did not participate in the process of transferring and safeguarding any material.
«They also pointed out that the Súmate organization is part of the technical advisory team of the Democratic Unitary Platform and, in turn, They did not know who uploaded the information of the alleged voting records onto a website, which is being investigated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office,” he said.
