Ukrainian citizen Ivan Kusmin, 38, killed and dismembered his alleged partner, Russian Lucia Lazarenko, 44. Both were in a healing center located in Yurimaguas, Loreto. Apparently, the subject had taken ayahuasca before committing the crime.
According to the police, the foreigner locked the young woman in a room and beat her to death, then dismembered her.
Authorities arrived at the premises after being alerted by workers, who heard the victim’s screams.
The Ukrainian was found in the room next to the woman’s body and threatened to cut himself with a sharp weapon. He also bit and hit the officers.
It is still unknown if they were a couple, since Lucía Lazarenko appears with her husband and daughters on her social networks.
On the other hand, Pepe Ordóñez, owner of the comprehensive development center ‘Dos Mundos’, stated that the Russian and the Ukrainian were not patients at his center.
“They were not staying here, they were there as a friend, they were old patients, they were just passing through. We gave them space to stay for a little while.“, he said.
Following the crime, the establishment was temporarily closed.
