Santo Domingo.-The mayor of the capital, Carolina Mejiareported this Friday that it filed a complaint with the National District Prosecutor’s Office for the Cyber Police Directorate for alleged use of paid advertising using its name and image with false information for fraudulent purposes.
“I want to inform the public that I have filed a formal complaint with the District Attorney and the Cyber Police Directorate, after receiving repeated reports of paid digital advertising using my name and image with false information, as well as the use of digital media platforms for fraudulent purposes,” he said. Mejia in a brief statement posted on their social networks.
“We will pursue this complaint to its ultimate consequences,” he added.

However, the mayor of the National District did not specify for what type of fraudulent acts her image and name are being usurped.
