An elderly woman was run over by a van-type truck at the intersection of Av. Ferrocarril and Ica in the city of Huancayo. The impact left serious injuries and the woman died at the Daniel Alcides Carrión hospital.

The elderly woman identified as Domitila Ñahuincopa (79) was assisted by the National Police and SAMU personnel, she was later transferred to the Daniel Alcides Carrión hospital, where she was treated, however due to her serious injuries she did not survive and died.

The body will be transferred to the Hualhuas morgue, while authorities try to locate her relatives. The old woman had among her belongings two black raffia bags, a blue apron and a brown hat.
