Governor of Santiago assists families affected by a fire in the Hato Mayor sector

Santiago, DR.- Provincial Governor Rosa Santos provided assistance this Thursday to families whose homes were affected by a fire that occurred on July 25 on the first street of Los Ángeles II, in the Hato Mayor sector of this city.

“On behalf of President Luis Abinader, we are delivering mattresses, gas tanks, fans, stoves, sheets, mosquito nets, ovens, beds, sheets, dressers and everything else that is most essential,” said the representative of the Executive Branch upon arriving at the site.

Santos also expressed concern about the fires that have occurred in recent weeks and said he would continue to conduct surveys to determine what else is needed.

The victims attribute this incident to an alleged short circuit, and neither the Electricity Distribution Company of the North SA (Edenorte Dominicana SA) nor other authorities have determined the causes of the incident.

Those affected expressed their gratitude for the help offered.
