The PUD did not present the minutes to the TSJ

Manuel Rosales (A New Time), José Luis Cartaya (Democratic Unity Roundtable) and José Simón Calzadilla (Venezuela Movement), did not submit their minutes to the Supreme Court of Justice on Wednesday.

They were required to deliver to the Electoral Chamber “all electoral instruments of legal relevance that are in the possession of political parties and candidates…”, as established in ruling 028.

With the attendance of Rosales, Cartaya and Calzadilla, the appearance before the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) of the main actors who participated in the presidential elections of July 28 began this Wednesday.

To move forward with this process, the TSJ requires the minutes that were drawn up at each of the voting tables and which reflect how many votes each presidential candidate obtained.

The hearings are part of the expert assessment that the Electoral Chamber undertakes
presidential elections of July 28, at the request of the president
Nicolás Maduro, who claimed that an incident had occurred on election day consisting of a cyber attack.

The Electoral Chamber indicated that all candidates and parties have already been notified of the hearings, for which reason “they must comply with the aforementioned court order and attend this hearing.”
Jurisdictional body”.

In response to this ruling, the Electoral Chamber published a schedule of summons.

Rosales: the minutes are on the website “created for this purpose”

Manuel Rosales, head of the opposition party Un Nuevo Tiempo, offered statements to the press in which he assured that the minutes, which according to them prove their allegations of fraud, are published on the website created by them to display them.

“We are members of the Electoral Platform and the Comando Con Venezuela, and we published a copy of the minutes that we have on a website. We did not have to present anything here, we already did that through our platform,” he told the media upon leaving the TSJ.

Rosales also asked the National Electoral Council (CNE) to show “the results of the elections” even though the Electoral Body has already offered such results.

In turn, Simón Calzadilla, also a candidate for González Urrutia, confirmed that they had not submitted the minutes of the presidential elections, because the CNE had not given them “duly tabulated.”

At 1:23 p.m., magistrates Caryslia Rodríguez, president of the TSJ and of the Electoral Chamber, Fanny Márquez and Inocencio Figueroa, entered the auditorium where they held the hearings, to receive the fourth person summoned of the day: Edmundo González Urrutia. “Citizen secretary, please indicate whether citizen Edmundo González Urrutia is present in this room,” said the magistrate.

Rodríguez. “He is not present, Madam President,” the secretary replied. “It is noted that citizen Edmundo González has not attended the summons,” said Rodríguez to close the session.

After 5:00 pm, the former candidate appeared before the highest court in Venezuela
President José Brito, who upon leaving described González Urrutia’s absence from the Electoral Chamber as “absolutely irresponsible towards the country.”

“The gentleman is incurring in contumacy that could lead to a mandate of leadership,” said Brito, alluding to the mechanism contemplated to make González appear before the Electoral Chamber with the use of public force. Brito stressed that the intention of some candidates was never electoral.
but “insurrectional”.

It is important to remember that the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) reiterated the summons to the ten former presidential candidates and the representatives of the political parties of the electoral contest of last July 28, in which the current national president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, was reelected.
