Governor of Junín calls for unity: “Let us go down to earth and abandon our attitudes”

During his speech, the regional governor of Junín, Zósimo Cárdenas Muje, called for unity after welcoming the hundreds of visitors who came to the province. He highlighted the role of the Hussars of Junín who gave their lives “for the most important legacy that sealed our independence”said.

He stressed that the Chacamarca Sanctuary not only has historical value but also tourist value and the need exists to enhance its value, “So that it is not only visited once a year but 365 days a year. The potential of Junín, Ayacucho and all of Peru is immense, (we must) overcome poverty, malnutrition. It is time for us all to come down to earth and put aside our attitudes, to unite and embrace each other, because that is what the battle of Junín means, the most important one that led us to independence together with the battle of Ayacucho,” Indian.
