At least four criminal gangs were activated to set the streets on fire after María Corina Machado denied the results of the presidential elections, according to intelligence reports.
These organizations are: Tren del Llano, El Wilexis, the Niño Guerrero cell and Los Chevrolet. These groups were the first to go out at noon on July 29 to block streets, burn cars and vandalize public infrastructure. The signal to get going was a timid cacerolazo and the Gloria al Bravo Pueblo played by the Orquesta Galantes de Venezuela.
The aforementioned groups acted with greater vehemence in the sectors where their cells are located and with a “clearly Chavista” profile, such as El Valle, Petare, El Guarataro, Maracay, Valles del Tuy, the Barlovento region and eastern Guárico, among others.
In Petare, Wilexis Acevedo Monasterios (El Wilexis) showed up and organized his cell with 25 subjects, who had the purpose of taking over the headquarters of Polisucre and the Bolivarian National Guard, just as they attempted to do in the riots of January 2019, when Juan Guaidó swore himself in.
On the Intercommunal Avenue of El Valle, the acts of violence, which included blocking the cross roads with burning tires, attacks on the Mercado, Jardines and El Valle stations, were organized by Los Bataneros del 70. This cell was formed by Leonardo José Polanco Angulo (Loco Leo), killed on 8/18/21 in Parque Caiza, Sucre municipality (Miranda).
Loco Leo had an alliance with the Koki Gang, which operated in Cota 905.
In El Guarataro-El Observatorio, remnants of the Makua gang, an organization that distributes drugs in that sector of Caracas, were involved in organizing violent protests.
In the Barlovento region (Caucagua, Aragüita) and the José Tadeo Monagas municipality (Altagracia de Orituco), Guárico, they activated Oscar Noguera Hernández (El Diente), leader of the Tren del Llano, who tried to burn down the town hall of that plains town.

The cell of Niño Guerrero, led by Hector Guerrero Flores, operated in Maracay (Aragua) through his partners Los Chevrolet who operate in the San Vicente industrial zone. Precisely in that entity, but in the Jobo Dulce sector, Turmero, Mayaury Silva (49), a member of the base structures of the PSUV, was murdered last Saturday. A hooded man shot her seven times when the woman was heading to her residence.
The sleeper cells activated after María Corina Machado rejected the results of the presidential elections used social media to call for the killing of Chavistas, including President Nicolás Maduro. Ledys Blanco was one of those people and she admitted it when she was arrested by the Polinacional. “I am one of those who violently called out to the street in Caricuao through WhatsApp; I cursed, I go out cursing the Chavistas,” she said.
