AREQUIPA, Peru – The Miss Universe organization made it known This Monday, the final 24 candidates who will be competing to represent Cuba in the renowned beauty pageant will be announced.
The finalists represent a Cuban province, region or community abroad and will participate in various events and activities over the next few weeks. During the presentation of the candidates, it was also revealed that there will be a 25th contestant who will be chosen by public vote.

The participation of a Cuban representative in Miss Universe this year marks a historic milestone and represents an important step towards inclusion in the pageant.
The decision to include Cuba in the contest this year responds to a “vision” of the organization that seeks “inclusion, regardless of the existing political paradigms,” said Prince Julio César in this regard. “The idea is to give women in their entirety the opportunity to express their qualities and virtues and carry a message,” he added.
In this sense, the national director of Miss Cuba-Miss Universe He did not rule out the possibility that the winner of the pageant in Miami will bring a message of “freedom and democracy” to the Miss Universe final in Mexico.
On September 15, 2024, the Miss Universe Cuba pageant will be announced. The 20 women who will compete for the crown, heading to the Miss Universe pageant, will participate in a television show that day.
