It is known that it was in Junín that he began to experience health problems, which is why he was taken in an emergency in a military helicopter that landed at the Francisco Carlé airport, where an ambulance from the firefighters of the province of Jauja was already waiting. After stabilizing him, they took him to the hospital where they performed tests to rule out altitude sickness and acute pulmonary edema.
