“From the plains of Junín, I call on each and every Peruvian to follow the example of the heroes of the Battle of Junín, to put aside our differences and fight for a great nation, the nation that our children deserve.“, he invoked.
The premier also highlighted the importance of the Battle of Junín, since it was there, three years after the proclamation of the Independence of Peru, that the heroic deed of the plains of Junín was realized and that it was sealed with the capitulation of Ayacucho. “Here brave men and women led by leaders like Simon Bolivar and Antonio Jose de Sucre demonstrated that the fight for freedom and justice can overcome any obstacle,” said.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers assured that the budget allocated to works in favor of the Junín region exceeds S/2,700 million for projects such as the construction of the Asháninka Nation Bridge in Satipo; the Santiago Antúnez de Mayo Higher Technological Institute in Huancayo and the implementation of the broadband network for the region. The reopening of the Jauja airport, the construction of the bicentennial schools in Chupaca and Junín; the transfer of a budget of more than 20 million for the periodic maintenance of departmental roads, the construction of the four-lane road, the Ira Centro section II, the longitudinal section IV of the sierra and the male train.
He mentioned the Llamkarun program, which generated more than 5 thousand jobs; the Aurora program that reviewed more than 4 thousand cases, irrigation projects, prevention actions against cold weather with Agrorural, Cunamás, among others. He also said that the government has prioritized the export of products such as frozen trout, maca, aguaymanto, native potato, pineapple, turmeric, ginger, cocoa, coffee and more.
Regarding the fight against insecurity, he said that thousands of operations have been carried out throughout the region, in which 356 gangs have been dismantled and more than 2,500 wanted persons have been arrested.
