In this regard, the Head of the Interior Sectorannounced that he filed an amparo suit and denied having sent those messages to the PNP officer, who at that time of the communication was precisely participating in an operation with the Special Team against Corruption of Power in the intervention of Colonel Alarcón.
“I absolutely deny the communication, just as I absolutely deny other chats that this person has presented, which is why I have filed a request for protection proving that the documents that this man is presenting are absolutely false, as well as other statements,” he said. He added: “I have already filed a request for protection against what the captain is falsely presenting. The request has been admitted, there is a hearing date, the parties have been notified and I am subject to what the Judiciary determines.”

According to the information issued by the Cuarto Poder program, the Minister of the Interior recommended his lawyer friend identified as Luis Vivanco, to be the legal defense of the Colonel PNP Jose Luis Alarconnicknamed ‘Michel’, who is being investigated for being part of an alleged criminal organization called ‘shadow criminal intelligence’.

Santiváñez also tells the PNP captain that lawyer Luis Vivanco is his friend since college; however, after making contact, the minister writes to the officer again that Luis Vivanco will not take the case, because he informed him that Colonel Alarcón did not want to pay him financial compensation.
