China's Quan wins second platform diving gold at Paris 2024

The Chinese Quan Hongchan rose this Tuesday with its second gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, by winning the individual 10m platform final, leaving his rivals no chance.

Mexicans Gabriela Agúndez and Alejandra Orozco ended 5th and 8th, respectivelyso they leave Paris without a medal after failing to repeat the bronze they won in Tokyo-2020 in synchronized swimming.

China has won five of the eight diving finals so far. Wang Zongyan and Xie Siyi also led the men’s individual diving preliminary round on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 3m springboard.

The Aztec diving team arrived in Paris with important assets for the podium, but for the moment he only managed to win silver in the men’s synchronized 3m springboard event with Osmar Olvera and Juan Manuel Celaya.
