The preliminary investigation judge José Alberto Cossío released Juan Justo S. Ch., who was charged with severely assaulting a 20-year-old trader, who charged him for five beers that he had consumed with his friends.

This violent event was recorded in the early hours of Sunday, August 4, in a Liquor store in El Carmen II market, located in the citadel of Pampa de la Isla.

Juan Justo S. Ch. punched Claudia EYP, 20, and left her unconscious on the ground. In addition, He attacked another subject, who tried to intervene in the violent attack, and then fled. The entire incident was recorded by the liquor store’s security camera and went viral on social media.

Prosecutor Gustavo Bohórquez indicated that Juan Justo S. Ch. was arrested and charged with the crime of minor injuries, which does not merit preventive detention in prison, which is why Judge José Alberto Cossío released him with personal measures.

The victim has four days of impedimentbut Bohórquez said he will request a new medical evaluation, in addition to taking statements from witnesses and analyzing camera images during the investigation process.

Assaulted for charging for five beers

Juan Justo S. Ch. told the media that he did not remember the aggression he committed against Claudia EYP, because he was under the influence of alcohol. While his lawyer, Williams Reynolds Miranda, said that his client reacted because he was charged for five beers that his friends ordered.

“His friends invited him to buy five beers and left without paying. The merchant charged him for the consumption. This led to the fight because the woman told him that he had to pay, otherwise she would call the police,” said the lawyer.

For her part, the victim’s mother regretted the release of the accused, because he pointed out that his daughter had received death threats.

“He told her he was going to kill her, that he wasn’t going to let her get away. “My daughter is in pain in her head and out of fear she did not even open her shop today. Please, I ask for justice, I want him to be sent to jail,” she added.
