The creation of a Municipality in the town of Agraciada for the next government was cancelled. It was an aspiration of the town’s residents, which even led to the collection of signatures.
Today, that possibility was ruled out, announced to EL ECO the mayor of Soriano Guillermo Besozzi, who also aspired to have this possibility, despite the objections presented in this regard within his party sector.
The hierarch expressed that his intention was “to create it during this period of government, but they say that it had to be requested 18 months before. I don’t understand why the law says that. The president of the Departmental Board told me that it is not included in the next period, because it must be requested 18 months before and we are less than a year away. I was sure that I could do it, but they say no. I didn’t know that part, I thought it was six months before.”
“I will probably leave it done, even if it is not my turn. I may leave the Municipality of Agraciada planned for the next period and let them know that there will be a mayor there,” he said.
Villa Soriano will have a Municipality for the next administration. This proposal “was approved,” announced the mayor.
