In the early hours of Sunday, August 4, videos were spread through social networks showing a group of people attending the La Noche bar in Barranco insulting the legislator and demanding that she leave the establishment. In response, Patricia Chirinos had to leave, although when she left she showed a peculiar gesture with her hand showing the middle finger.
The parliamentarian was also accompanied by her colleague from Popular Action, Louis Aragon, who also regretted this situation.
“In my political life I have faced everything, and what happened yesterday in Barranco It’s just one more anecdote: a small group of misfits verbally attacked me and even threw a glass at me.“, he indicated Patricia Chirinos on his “X” account, formerly Twitter.
He added: “Violence must have no place in our democracy. These incidents only strengthen my commitment to move forward.. In a democracy, it is vital to listen to all voices, even the harshest critics. Thank you for your support and solidarity.”
After that, the Avanza País bench expressed solidarity with the legislator Patricia Chirinosalso through their social networks. “Avanza País firmly rejects any form of aggression as a mechanism to express disagreement or discontent.
