Puno: Woman found dead and relatives accuse her partner

Police officers from the Criminal Investigation Area and the prosecutor on duty in Juliaca (Puno) are carrying out a series of investigations in order to clarify the causes of the death of a mother, whose lifeless body was found inside her room, in the district of San Miguel, province of San Román.

In the early hours of the morning, Edith Mamani Coyla (28) was found dead in her home located in the Las Gardenias urbanization. Relatives believe that it is a case of femicide, since they blamed her partner named Ronald Fuentes Quispe (former police officer) for the death.

After being alerted, the security guards of the San Miguel commune arrived at the building and found the woman’s body, apparently with bruises on her face.

One of the man’s relatives reportedly said that the couple had been drinking alcohol hours earlier, apparently after which they argued and fought.

While the relatives of the deceased demanded a thorough investigation and blamed Fuentes Quispe for the death, who disappeared after the events.

The deceased, who worked for a financial institution, leaves behind a 1 year and 11 month old boy and a 5 month old girl.
