Anonymous group hacked Conviasa's website

Transport Minister Ramón Velásquez Araguayán confirmed on Friday that the IT platform of Venezuela’s flagship airline, Conviasa, was the target of a cyberattack by the hacktivist group Anonymous, which attempted to access the airline’s database.

On his account on the social network X, owned by the tycoon Elon Musk, who recently unmasked himself as an international facilitator to overthrow the Maduro government, the minister accused this organization of being on the side of the billionaire and of failing in its attempt to destroy information on the Conviasa computer platform.

“Today we denounce that @LAConviasa has been the target of a cyberattack perpetrated by the hacktivist collective Anonymous. However, fortunately we have acted to protect all the information of our flagship airline, which has been attacked again by fascists drawn to American imperialism and linked to Elon Musk. They will not be able to do it!” he wrote in his post.

In the midst of the strong international attack against Venezuela, following last Sunday’s elections that resulted in the victory of Nicolás Maduro, one of the scenarios of attack against the country are the computer platforms managed from abroad.

President Maduro has warned the international community that the country is under cyber siege, receiving attacks on several computer platforms including that of the National Electoral Council, and that all of this is part of a coup d’état by sectors of the global far right.
