The inter-institutional group was created on June 13 with the presence of authorities from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) and the Colegio de Bachilleres, whose objective is to eradicate groups inside and outside their schools that have generated violent acts against students.
According to a statement from UNAM, the anti-gangster commission formally began its tours on August 2 at the College of Sciences and Humanities (CCH) Naucalpan, the College of Bachelors 5 “Satélite” and the Center for Scientific and Technological Studies number two “Miguel Bernard”
“The above was done with the aim of detecting vulnerable points and being able to reinforce the security of these school spaces,” the statement said.
For its part, the National Polytechnic Institute posted images of the tour on its social media, in which school authorities can be seen touring spaces inside and outside the institutions, accompanied by elements of the State of Mexico police to supervise different areas.
