The Electoral Chamber of the TSJ issued a statement in which it asks the CNE to submit the minutes of the scrutiny of the electoral tables at the national level, the final total minutes of the presidential elections of July 28, within a maximum of three days. It also requested to provide evidence about the alleged cyber attack on its system.
The Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) issued a statement on the night of Friday, August 2, in which it gives the National Electoral Council (CNE) three days to submit the voting records of the presidential elections that took place in the country on July 28.
The instruments requested by the Electoral Chamber from the CNE are the following: “records of the scrutiny of the electoral tables at the national level, the record of the final total of the electoral process, the record of the adjudication and the record of the proclamation of the indicated process.”
The institution also asked the electoral body to provide “all evidence” related to the alleged cyber attack suffered by the CNE’s computer system.

“In light of the commitment to peace, democracy and in pursuit of the constitutional order of the Republic, this Electoral Chamber decides that for this particular case, the office of this body is authorized from Monday to Sunday, both days inclusive, for 24 hours,” the institution wrote on its X account.
At dawn on July 29, the CNE issued a first bulletin with 80% of results transmitted, which declared Nicolás Maduro the winner with 5,150,092 of the votes, 51.20% and the candidate Edmundo González obtained 4,445,978 votes, 44.2%. Despite not having delivered all the votes, the CNE proclaimed Maduro as president that same Monday, July 29.
The second bulletin was delivered on August 2, confirming the victory of President Nicolás Maduro with 6,408,844 votes, which translates to 51.95%. In second place was the opposition presidential candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, with 5,326,104, which represents 43.18%.
Since Monday, July 29, protests have been taking place across the country in rejection of the results delivered by the CNE. The demonstrations began in the morning with cacerolazos in different cities. So far, 19 deaths have been reported and more than 800 people have been arrested, according to the Penal Forum.
