The Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, reported this Thursday on the dismantling of violent “Comanditos” that have generated terrorist acts in the country in recent days.
“After impeccable elections that gave victory to our President Nicolás Maduro Moro, these actions aimed at fragmenting the Venezuelan State and directed specifically by the Vente Venezuela Party, have attempted to try to create criminal gangs through these destabilizing, paramilitary organizations, self-proclaimed criminal commandos,” he mentioned in statements to Venezolana de Televisión on Thursday night.
He said there are samples and evidence that implicate the guarimberos with criminal gangs. “We have captured an entire operating method to bring weapons, assemble weapons of war and distribute them to people to kill citizens, destroy, generate chaos in the Venezuelan people. These criminal organizations, criminal commandos, contacted criminal gangs and, of course, to generate destabilization,” said Ceballos Ichaso.
He explained that among the individuals detained in Quinta Crespo, Caracas, are Leonardo Atilio Micaleti Hernández and Argenis José Mavares Alcalá, who brought parts and pieces of war weapons from the United States to carry out destabilization actions.
Among the evidence obtained are pieces and parts of AK-47 and AR-15, 1,843 rounds of ammunition, 1 revolver, pickup trucks and watercraft, as well as an aircraft.
“Through the investigations carried out by the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (CICPC), we have captured and neutralized a criminal organization, a “Comandito” of the Vente Venezuela party, which has become a terrorist gang involved in trafficking and assembling war weapons,” he revealed.
