MPRJ: Rio de Janeiro voters will be informed about the municipal elections

Voters in Rio de Janeiro will be better informed about this year’s municipal elections. A campaign with this objective was launched by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ), an initiative of the Operational Support Center of the Electoral Prosecutors’ Offices and the Social Communication Coordination of the MPRJ.MPRJ: Rio de Janeiro voters will be informed about the municipal elections

The campaign aims to provide voters with everything they need to know to exercise their right to vote and monitor any irregularities, which should be reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Among the topics that will be presented to voters are the registration period, accessibility at polling stations, political gender-based violence, abuse of power, ballot box security and vote buying.

The campaign will have posts and videos and will be broadcast until the eve of the first round, on October 5th, on MPRJ portal and on their social networks. The August schedule includes early/untimely advertising, candidate registration period, clean record/ineligibility, gender quota, accessibility, irregular advertising, what the mayor and councilor do, the importance of women in politics and election time.
