Through a letter, Mayor Jhonny Fernández asked President Luis Arce to call for an economic, social and productive summit to address diesel and dollar shortages, among other things problematic.
“Call for an economic, social and productive summit to address the pressing issues that are of concern to the entire population at this time; This summit could consider, in its agenda, ways to solve the lack of foreign currency, “fuel supply and economic recovery,” reads the main part of the letter.
Likewise, Fernandez explains that the meeting could discuss the support of municipalitiesrulers and productive social sectors so that the Plurinational Legislative Assembly (ALP) approves credits.
“On the other hand, consider the support that municipalities, governorates and productive social sectors can help to free or allow the Legislative Assembly Approve the loans that are paralyzed and that are beneficial to the entire population“, the document concludes.
The letter was sent this Thursday, August 1, when several blockades are reported in the country by drivers demanding the provision of diesel.
