Tarek William Saab: Simulation of punishable acts is a serious crime

He Attorney General of the RepublicTarek William Saab, stated through his account on the social network X that the simulation of punishable acts constitutes a serious crime and is aggravated when it seeks to generate anxiety in the population.

The statement by the country’s head of criminal cases comes in light of recent videos posted on social media claiming that state security forces had killed several people, which turned out to be a hoax.

On the social network, the Prosecutor shared images that show the setup carried out by a group of people. “They are being investigated to be charged with the crime of simulating a punishable act and assembling criminals who pretended to falsely accuse law enforcement,” he said in this regard.

Among the most viral fakes or lies on social media is the alleged murder of Albert Guiseppe Salazar Alvarado, alias Pimpina, who pretended to have been killed by state security forces in Antímano.

After an exhaustive investigation, the police found Salazar Alvarado, who admitted on camera that it had all been a simulation and that he was in good health.

In a video, the subject himself confesses that he lives in Las Vegas, Cojedes state, and was used as part of a setup.
