“The Office of the Attorney General, through the Department of Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints, filed a constitutional complaint before the Congress of the Republic against former congressmen César Segura and Mario Mantilla, alleged perpetrators of the crime against public faith,” the Public Prosecutor’s Office posted on its ‘X’ account.
The constitutional complaint against the congressmen is for the alleged crime of against public faith, in the form of ideological falsehood, to the detriment of the State for allegedly having presented – when they were officials of the Congress— public documents to support their activities during the weeks of representation when they were actually travelling abroad.

It is accused of Cesar Segura for not having used the money allocated for their corresponding week of representation in Moquegua during September 25 and 29, 2017, but for their trip to Switzerland on the same days.
For its part, Mario Mantilla He would have used the money allocated by Congress for the concept of a week of representation in Ica during 2018 on his trip to Russia, this was known thanks to a journalistic revelation.
