The Ministry of Education (MEC) made available at 10 pm this Wednesday (31) the result of the selection process of the University for All Program (Prouni), referring to the second semester of 2024. Candidates can consult it atSingle Portal for Access to Higher Education.
On social media, candidates complained about the delay in the announcement of the results, since Wednesday morning, and the instability of the site.
In this second edition of the year, the federal program offered a total of 243,850 scholarships, 170,319 full (100%) and 73,531 partial (50%), distributed across 367 courses at 901 private higher education institutions participating in the program.
Procedures
Students pre-selected for Prouni for the second semester of 2024 must, between July 31 and August 14, appear at the institutions for which they were pre-approved, in person or virtually/electronically, to verify the information provided at the time of registration to the Prouni coordinator within the institution itself.
The institution must provide a specific field for forwarding on its website. Upon receiving the candidate’s documentation, private higher education institutions must provide the Prouni documentation receipt protocol.
Students in the federal program should be aware of any additional requirements from educational institutions, such as subjecting pre-selected candidates to a specific selection process, which may be different from the entrance exam. In these cases, no fee may be charged to the candidate.
The MEC informs that it is the sole responsibility of the candidate to check, at the institution, the times and place of attendance for verification of the information. Missing the deadline or failing to verify the information will automatically result in the candidate’s failure.

Timeline
After the information verification period, the list of pre-selected candidates for the second call for the second Prouni of 2024 will be released on August 20. Access to the list is also available on the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education. Students must submit their documents by August 30.
Students who were not pre-selected in the two previous calls can participate in the waiting list. Interested parties must express their interest through the Prouni page, between September 9 and 10, 2024. The waiting list will be available on September 13, at Prouni System (Sisprouni), for consultation by higher education institutions and candidates.
Prouni
Created in 2004, Prouni pays for scholarships (full and partial) in undergraduate and sequential specific training courses at private higher education institutions.
For full scholarships, the monthly gross family income per capita of the registered candidate cannot exceed the value of one and a half minimum wages (R$2,118 per person). In the case of partial scholarships, the gross monthly family income per person cannot exceed the value of three minimum wages (R$4,236 per person, in 2024).
The federal program has two editions per year, with scholarship subsidies for entry into the first and second semesters. The MEC indicates that the target audience to benefit is students without a higher education diploma.
